Thank you. Thank you. I know most people really do mean well but i feel like artists are sometimes seen as pets or entertainers. We are people with ( mostly) grown up duties to take care of and lives outside of work ( again, kinda.. haha) …it doesnt mean we dont appreciate when someone has kind words or wants to be our pal.
Be aware of feeling irrationally entitled to another person’s time or trying to control their behavior and think about why you have those feelings. Have you met this person IRL? Are you projecting insecurities or a bad day onto a stranger? Or does not replying really make someone bad and worthy of scorn? I think we all kind of go through this stage in one way or another… but you don’t have to stay stuck like this! :)
Please don’t judge all “popular” artists so quickly, because most will do you the same courtesy.
Artists are human, too, after all.
Had to break my “no reblogs” rule, cause this is something that legitimately stresses me out.

You don’t have to like what I like.
I won’t try to change your mind if you don’t try to change mine.

Working on an animation probably for a user icon. Animation was never a strong suit with me and Photoshop’s gif animation process has a bit of a learning curve. I am coping the head motion from Game of Thrones, and episode in season one. I am pretty happy with the rough. The muzzle in the first few frames will need fixed to match the style of the rest. Then much cleanup stages.

All my want
More fan art! ;p
This was done at my friend Mittymandi’s suggestion. Which I was all too happy to use! Labyrinth was very important and special to me growing up, and its still dear to me for all the reasons it was back then, and some whole new ones!
I’ll probably do more Labyrinth fan art in the future. There are things I like about this, but ultimately I can do better. This doesn’t look NEARLY enough like David Bowie to me, but I still think its a nice piece. I hope people enjoy it!

SQUIRREL!
April 3rd
Finished up a mini watercolor for a friend of mine. Really loving playing with paint. Going to pull out the acrylic inks again soon and mess with those too.

Final take on the dragon painting from my last post. Going to hunt down a place that can scan something more then 18 inches, I hate that the tail is cut off.
Also the inks for my next painting. This guy is only 6 inches square.

Dragon painting WIP. Sadly the paper is a bit too big, even for my large format scanner. Hence why the tail is partially cut off in the last image. It is 6 by 18, inked with Copic multiliners in green, maroon, and Sepia. Using a new set of watercolors as my old set exploded in my bag on the way back from Atlanta.
